August Glossybox

Heyy everyone! Glossybox is a monthly subscription service that sends you samples ranging from beauty to skincare to haircare. It is great for any beauty lover, as it allows them to try and test unique brands for only £10.00!

This is the standards look of the box.

I am yet to use this exfoliator, but it's a nice size to take travelling, so I am sure I will use it soon! I tested it on my hand, and the beads are not to rough, which should be good as my skin is very sensitive.

Products like this are hard to re-use as the lid isn't amazing after you open it one, therefore I am yet to use this product. I will probably decant it into a small pot so it stays hygienic. None the less, I am very fond of TRESemmé, and I will keep you posted about this product.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to use this product either but this product looks so interesting! We all get those days, where our eyeliner smudges or we blink with wet mascara, and instead of having to waste a whole makeup wipe or maybe you are out and about and have no access to makeup remover, this is the perfect pen remover for on the go, and at home! I can't wait to give this a go, I will definitely take it to college when it starts.

You can never hate having a new eye-liner! This is a medium size pencil, which is creamy and glides right on to the eye. I would say sharper it well if you want a thin line, but it doesn't tug at the waterline at all!

I was so excited about these when I saw them in the box. I am lucky enough to have pretty curly eye lashes, well I just pretend I do as I am too lazy to curl them! Anyway, my first and only pair of eyelash curlers were from a makeup set, which were sufficient enough for me. Even though I would like to eventually invest in the ever so famous Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, these are a great alternative. The sponge pads a soft and foamy, and I am now less scared of ripping my eyelashes out, I am very impressed with this product!

August Birchbox

Heyy Guys, we haven't spoken to you in a while! I had planned to focus on our blog this summer, but both of us took part in NCS over the last four weeks, and it took over soo much of our summer, none the less it was absolutely amazing! We will make a more in depth blogpost about NCS, but we both recommend it to anyone who is of the right age! Hopefully we will now have more time to focus on the blog and post regularly.

One of the first things in the box was this snack. I am yet to try it but it looks interesting..

This body wash smells amazing, and lathers up very well! It is a great size for a sample, I have got multiple washes out of it.

I have used this oil on the tips of my hair half an hour before I go to wash my hair, and it leaves it nice and soft! A little bit goes a long way, and it is perfect for dry and damaged hair.

Lovely travel size jumbo lip pencil, topped with a bit of gloss it is a lovely wash of colour for your lips! It is suitable for any skin tone, just don't apply it too heavily as it may look a bit white.

This is a gel eye mask, which is supposed to reduce puffiness and redness. I am yet to try this but the concept is very interesting. You are supposed to keep it in the fridge, and when you place the cold mask over your eye it is meant to soothe the tender soft skin.

The primers I have used are usually silicon based, but this is a new concept for a primer. Seen as though I have combination skin, I am always up for trying a new primer, so I was very excited to have this in my box! I would say it is nearly as good as the Benefit Porefessional Make-up Primer, so you should definitely check it out.

I am yet to try this product, but I never say no to trying a new face moisturiser as I have dry patches on my face. I will keep you posted if this product turns out to be amazing!

Beth's June favourites!

Hey guys!
So Ananya is in India at the moment doing some work with the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Calcutta, I think it is in Calcutta anyway! Due to Ananya being away, I (Beth) am left to be in charge of the blog, instagram, twitter and tumblr pages! I will try and post as much as I can now its summer and all our exams are over! Unfortunately, Ananya and I will both be absent from the blog from the 29th of July until around the 9th of August as we are taking part in the NCS programme, National Citizens Service. If you do not know what this is then check out the website if you'd like to be involved later this year or next year! http://www.ncsyes.co.uk/ This opportunity is available to all British citizens aged 16-17, you may have seen YouTubers such as Zoella and Jim Chapman talking about it as it is an amazing programme that we recommend you get involved in! The weeks we will be absent from the blog are the weeks we are away on residential trips, the two weeks after that in the programme are based at home as we will be doing work in the town throughout the daytime, and we will be home at night giving us chance to post!
Anyway, I'll get on with the blog post now, so today I thought i'd do my June favourites! We were going to film this video, but with us both being so busy we haven't had time and im sure we will film by the end of the summer! So here are my favourite products I have been loving this month, enjoy!

First of all I have really been loving this Yankee Candle I got for my birthday. I love the smell of febreeze and clean washing, so this candle was perfect for me! It fills your room with a scent of fresh washing which has made me feel really refreshed and clean, I love this candle and im sure i will purchase it for a long time!
I recently took a trip to London for my birthday and i just had to go into Victorias Secret and see why everyone was on a PINK hype, and I have to say after purchasing this body mist, I can see why. This is the White Orchid and Starfruit body mist, I love love love this, it smells just like watermelons and is perfect for summer!
Also on my trip to London I purchased two Barry M Gelly Hi-Shines polishes and I love them! I got them in the shades Greenberry and Prickly Pear, these are two gorgeous pastel colours which are perfect for summer with tanned skin! Also I have rediscovered my Models Own Hedkandi Ibiza Mix nail glitter paint and it works really well on top of bright colours such as corals and greens! All these products will be lasting me through the summer!
I recently purhased 'Brave' by mac and its such a deep colour that really changes your look! It's not a perfect bright summer colour but it has been perfect for my work experience where I needed to look smart and also for my prom! Im sure I will continue to wear this lipstick through the winter! I have also had Rio Rio by Topshop for a few months now, and I have been wearing a lot recently as here in England, the sun has finally made an appearance! This shade is an all year round colour and works with everything!
I finally purchased the Naked pallette by Urban Decay whilst I was in London, and i definitely see why so many people love it! My favourite shades in the pallette are Sin, Sidecar and Toasted. This pallette can definitely create the perfect smokey eye look! I also love the Primer Potion by Urban Decay so the fact you get a miniature bottle with your purchase made me extremely happy with this purchase!
These are my favourite face products at the moment! I purchased Fleur Power a few weeks ago for my prom and I have fallen in love! The colour is so bright and colourful, the blush is also very pigmented so a little goes a long way! I also used the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation for my prom as it has a low SPF and a great coverage, and I have been using it everyday since, it also smells amazing! I finally purchased some real techniques brushes too and I have fallen in love! I have loved them ever since I had first seen them as they were so soft and eventually I got round to buying some, my favourite brush at the moment is the buffing brush. This works well to buff in your foundation so it doesnt look too heavy on your face and provides amazing coverage! Finally, as you can see my Laguna bronzer by Nars has been very well loved this month, I have been using it to contour my cheek bones and temples and also as the weather gets warmer I will be using it to bronze my face a bit more!
Now on to my fashion favourites! I love this necklace I bought from Freedom at Topshop. Its a beautiful statement necklace that looks amazing with anything and is great to smarten up an outfit!
I don't usually buy shoes from faith, but these caught my eye when browsing through Debenhams! I really needed some nice new sandals for summer, and these can be used throughout the day as they will go with any outfit! The jewels on the sandals also make them suitable for parties and such!
Also when looking through faith, I bought my prom shoes from there! They have a really lovely strip of jewels on them which really attracted me to them. They really matched the silver detailing on my dress and i had to have them! Im sure I will get good use out of them on my holiday and at Weddings, Communions and Christenings I have coming up!
Another pair of shoes! I got these for my birthday last year from Ananya and i still adore them! I have gotten a lot of use out of them recently as I have attended a few business events and meals, birthday parties and I did have to wear heels during my work experience!
I am in love with this crop top I purchased from the Oxford Street Topshop in London. I have had my eye on this for a while and I finally got it! I love the statement neckline meaning that you dont need to wear a necklace to liven up the outfit! I also think this looks really nice with this skirt I also got from Topshop . . .
These two items together create such a cute summer outfit that can be dressed up or down! I love this skirt too and have had my eye on it for a while too. Im really loving pastel colours and skater skirts!
My final fashion item is this blazer from Zara. I know I said im loving pastel colours, but im also loving bright colours! I bought this for my work experience and it can be worn casual as well as formal. I really love the design and colour and im sure ill get a lot of wear out of it!

Now onto my music favourites, I have been loving so many songs this month so it has been really hard to choose just one, so I picked five songs and one band!
1) Clouds by Zach Sobiech. This song is about Zachs cancer and how he didnt have long left to live and he used music as a way to help him grieve, this song is really soft and gentle, and really emotional. Unfortunately, Zach passed away in May.
2) Heart Attack by Demi Lovato. Usually, I really hate chart music as my music taste is alternative, but I really like this song as its got a really good and catchy tune. I also think Demi has an amazing voice!
3) Alone Together by Fall Out Boy. So here comes my alternative music side, I really love FOB's new album Save Rock and Roll and im more than happy they are off hiatius! This song has a great beat and is so east to sing along to, perfect!
4) Millionaires by The Script. I love The Scirpt, mainly because I am so in love with Danny O'Donoghue! He has an amazing voice and this song is amazing and again, really easy to sing along to!
5) Let Her Go by Passenger. I love this song to bits, its so soft, relaxing and I have to admit it does make me quite sad when I listen to it!
6) I just really recommend you listen to the band Panic! At The Disco, their musical style is Alternative and I love them. I have loved this band for a few years now and Im too excited for the new album. The lead vocalist, Brendon Urie, has an amazing vocal range and hes also very very attractive! I really recommend this band, theyre easy to fall in love with as theyre down to earth and silly!

Finally, my favourite moments from June!
First of all, my birthday party, but I have no pictures from that yet as theyre all on Ananyas camera! It was such a fun day, we had a barbecue although it rained and we all wore party hats and sang to HSM and songs like that! We had such a childish party and it was amazing! And yes thats right im 16, but really im more like a 6 year old.
Second of all was definitely prom! The highlight of my month! Getting ready and seeing everyone in their dresses was amazing, everyone looked so beautiful so here are some photos!

And thirdly, one of my other favourite times of the month was my trip to London! We shopped all day on the friday until our feet ached! On the Satruday we went to Madame Tussauds! Here are some photos!

So that was my June favourites! I hope you enjoyed reading and looking at some of my pictures! I know we havent blogged in a while but we promise we will really try and get into it this summer!
Hope you all are well and are enjoying the summer!
We love you and goodbye! xxxxx

June Glossybox

This month's box was inspired by summer, and contains a few summer essentials. If you guys aren't familiar with Glossybox it is a monthly subscription service which costs £10.00 plus p&p, and they said you an array of products every month, ranging from beauty to skincare to haircare. It has been over a year now since I have been subscribed to Glossybox, and I have to admit the products can be amazing, or disappointing, I guess it's just a gamble. However due to my embarrassing obsession with all things beauty, I am still currently subscribed to Glossybox.

The box always come in the signature pink box, with a pink bow and black tissue paper.

June is supposed to be the start of summer, however in the UK we cant seem to see that! Nonetheless the box is inspired by the summer, and helps you cater your collection for the summer months.

This is the first product, it is a cult product by the brand NUXE, a brand which I have not heard of yet (the main point of getting these boxes is to be introduced to new products and brands). The actual colour is very similar to my (Ananya) natural skin tone, but if you rub it in it shouldn't change your actual skin tone just add some glitter. Unfortunately I am not brave enough to try it in my hair, and I don't plan to, but it is a nice body glitter that you could use when you are all tanned up for summer or when you are going out for a special event. NUXE, has there own website, which is www.nuxe.co.uk and you can get an 100ml bottle for £34.00, but trust me a little does go a long way. Unfortunately the bottle does not have a pump, you just pour a little into your hand and apply it onto the area you want to. The booklet which comes with the box, says that the oil does a good job at strengthening and hydrating your hair, which seems quite interesting. You are suppose to massage into dry hair and leave it in a towel for 15 to 20 minutes then wash it out using your normal shampoo, this actually does quite intrigue me, and I may try it on a day where I am just lounging about! I do have to admit I am not very keen on the smell, and it does linger on your body, unfortunately I am awful at describing scents, but it smells a bit chocolatey and sweet.

I was so happy when I saw I received this product, even though I know a lot about the brand Helen E cosmetics it has been a while since I have tried anything new. But the main reason I was so excited is that my dress for prom is blue and silver and the silver shimmer is just perfect for the eyes and maybe even the cheek bones. The shimmer is very finely milled powder, so you would look like a disco ball, sorry if that is what you wanted. However the shimmer is perfect for the days where you don't to put much make-up on, it would just add a little sparkle to a look. The product is in number 24 and can be bought from www.helen-e.com for only £5 but I am sure especially in the UK you can find Helen E cosmetics in other stores for example Debenhams.

As you may know I really hate artificial cherry smells, so I wasn't very excited about this product. However the smell isn't too overpowering, and it is a perfect pink tint for your lips. Even though it says it is a lip balm, the company recommends it for elbows and cuticles also, however as it has a pink tint and is very thick, I personally don't recommend it. I have heard of this company before, when previously Glossybox sent a Figs & Rouge lip balm. However this is much different to the other lip balm. This has more of gel consistency, and it can be applied from the tube or using your fingers. A 12.5ml tube is £5 and can be found from www.feelunique.com (a very trustworthy website). This lip tint would be a perfect for a warm summer day, where you just want minimal makeup.

(Sorry the picture isn't great it is hard to take a picture at night :P) MONU is a brand Glossybox put in their boxes quite often, to be honest I am yet to be wowed by their products. None the less the small sizes are good for travelling and I will use up the sample size. MONU have their own website where you can check out any other their products. The website is www.monushop.co.uk and a 50ml bottle will cost £29.95. The moisturiser has a lemoney sent much like the White Company Lemon and Lime scent if you are familiar with it, that is one of the main reasons I like this product in particularly. It still is very moisturising, and will help dry skin, but is recommended for all skin types.

MeMeMe Cosmetics, is a up and coming brand which I'm starting to hear a lot more about. Previously one of the boxes contained a MeMeMe highlighter which I absolutely love and I have recently seen MeMeMe in boots even though they have their own website (www.mememecosmetics.co.uk). This nail polish is a lovely off white colour and I thought it would be amazing on the nails under a colour to make it pop or on its own. However the nail polish is very sheer and is not build-able to make opaque, none the less you can use this nail polish on top of a colour to make it look creamy, or use it as a base for a french manicure. However I am not sure I would spend £5 for this nail polish, but I still really like it.

"She's so . . . Jetset!" Benefit Make-Up Kit

I(Beth), have owned the Benefit "She's so. . . Jetset!" Make-Up kit since December 2012, and I thought it was about time I reviewed it!

I had very high expectations of this kit when I first saw it as Benefit is one of my favourite make-up brands, and also the box is nice, compact and not over the top!

When I opened the box I was very pleased as the make-up was all neutral and easy to wear for all skin tones!

The first product in the make up kit was "The POREfessional". I was very pleased with this product as it helped make-up stay on for much much longer and minimised the appearance of pores very quickly! This was the first time I had ever tried this product, and I soon went out and purchased the full size bottle of this product!

The next product was a small eye-shadow palette. The colours are all neutrals and easy to wear, they would also be great for a simple look on holidays as the shimmer in them would look amazing in the sun! The colours in the palette are(From light to dark):
•Champagne please!
•Gold Card
•Pretty in mink
•Elegant espresso
I really love these colours, and my favourite combination is "champagne please!" Over the eyelid with "pretty in mink" worked into the crease. I have swatched the products below. Unfortunately, the eye-shadows cannot be purchased individually but similar colours to these can be found in the Benefit eye shadow range.

The third product was the blush duo:

In the make-up kit, the blush is called "First-Class face powder" so I do not think these products can be bought individually. The lighter shade of blush is very similar to the "Dandelion" blush from Benefit, and the darker colour is similar to "Dallas". Using the brush, sweeping this over the apples of your cheeks gives a lovely highlighting and natural glow!

The "Life on the A list" lipgloss was one of my favourite products in the kit. It gives a pretty subtle pink lip, which really compliments the blush. I would really recommend this lip gloss as it is of a good consistency and is not at all sticky or gloopy! I have also bought the full size version of this product as I loved it so much!

The final product in the kit was the "They're real!" Mascara. This mascara is highly rated by many beauty bloggers and vloggers, and by other people who have purchased this product. It gives your lashes full volume without them sticking together and is free of lumps! The brush also helps lengthen and separate the lashes! As you can see from the state of the bottle, I have really enjoyed this product and it has been used well! I have recently bought two tubes of this as I loved it so much!

Finally, the kit came with a leaflet full of "Tips and Tricks". This was very useful using these eyeshadow shades for the first time, and gives great tips on how to get full use of each of the products!

Overall, I have really enjoyed this Make-Up Kit and I am sure I will continue to use it until it's all gone! I would really recommend this as it is good for all skin tones, and the small sized products and compact box are brilliant for travelling!
The price of this product was £29.50/$36.00

The image quality is not brilliant, iPhone 5 camera used with 8 mega pixels, sorry!
